Hi, I’m Elisa. I started Betsy’s Bake in 2012 after the birth of my daughter Betsy. I’ve always had a great interest in baking and very quickly my dream started to come true. I began with supplying one small local cafe, whilst looking after baby Betsy, spatula in one hand Betsy in the other. This very quickly grew, as did my passion for new exciting creations, all self-taught I might add!

Our first event was The Kemptown Carnival during the summer of 2012 where we sold out within hours. It really was at that point that I realised there was a market for freshly made, home baked cakes in Brighton and from there we’ve grown from strength to strength.We take our cakes around Sussex attending festivals and events, whilst baking for many cafes in Brighton and providing our unique cake delivery service for birthdays, thanks you’s, weddings, treats  and  anniversary’s . It’s my little baby that’s continuously growing..both Betsy’s are enjoying their 10th year!

All our cakes are lovingly hand made in the Betsy’s Bake kitchen using only the freshest ingredients and free range eggs and we pride ourselves in making sure that every cake that leaves the kitchen is of the highest quality. We also provide for dietary needs, so if you need a gluten free or vegan cake we can always deliver a sumptuous box of baked delights to your door!

We all order Pizza, Indian, Chinese and Thai, its now time for the CAKE-AWAY revolution!! Eat cake my friends, who’s to judge? We are now offering a “cake-away” service so you can enjoy Betsy’s Bake cakes delivered to your door. For birthdays, office treats, a thank you gift, events, dinner parties, celebrations, to treat someone special or to enjoy a good home baked cake at home.  Forget sending flowers, cake wins every time!

Betsy’s Bake provides a successful client based wholesale service to local cafes and restaurants. We try to work closely with each establishment to cater for individual needs. We tailor the look of the product to not only suit your preferences but to keep the product unique.

All our products are home baked and made with the best ingredients. We don’t use any nasty additives.

A bit of a last minute order of a red velvet cake for daughter’s 18th. My initial enquiry was answered quickly and all communication was good. I didn’t actually make any specific requests about the cake, just requested just to have a message, but was very pleased with how it looked: simple and not too fussy (as daughter wanted!). And yes, it tasted delicious! Wd definitely use again.

I first discovered Elisa’s delicious cakes at the Kadampa Buddhist Meditation Centers World Peace Cafe at Lansdown Road, Hove. They only sell the vegan ones there but you wouldn’t even know it. They are so rich, moist and tasty that I got her details off the cafe manager so I could buy a whole one for myself! My personal recommendation (that I couldn’t see on her website cake list) is the vegan chocolate sour cherry. It’s to die for, literally!
